Matthew Langille is a New York City - based artist/designer. His work is known for its sardonic wit, cleverness and unique edginess. Starting at age 11 he studied Glassblowing thru to College. During his studies he traveled throughout Europe and Central America, studying art installation in a Rhode Island School of Design sponsored program in Pont Aven, France, he studied ceramics and life drawing at Bennington College in Vermont prior to college, and attended The New York State College of Art and Design at Alfred University. After graduating in 2004 his career quickly flourished, as companies from as far away as Tokyo and Australia sought out his edgy designs. He has created images, graphic, text designs, patterns and crayon drawings for many global fashion houses and design firms including Swatch, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Adidas, Havaianas, Victoria’s Secret, Urban Outfitters, and many other clients all listed on his website http://www.matthewlangille.com and his blog at http://matthewlangille.com/blog.
